James Cracknell teams up with Sport Relief

14 03 2016

Double Olympic gold medallist James Cracknell has announced he's to 'hop on the saddle' of a retro Raleigh Chopper bike and set a Sport Relief record for the furthest distance ridden on a Chopper in one hour.

Sally Gunnell, Alastair Campbell and Mike Bushell are also involved in the challenge, and will attempt to cycle circles around him as they also attempt to take the Guinness World Records title for most people to cycle a 1km time trial in one hour. Cracknell said 'It's going to require a lot of pedal power, but I'm excited to push myself to the limit and set a new Sport Relief record on my trusty Chopper. I feel hugely proud to support such an amazing charity and hopefully inspire people to take on their own challenges in the Sport Relief Games'.
